Fruit crisp - I used Ms Wakely's frozen apple pie filling recipe. October 24 2014


Look for a recipes with a high rating of course!
The apples I made into pie filling in earlier posts.  Too much liquid, not enough fruit so I added frozen black berries

Done: bubbly and crispy

I precook my filling, no runny separated juices. I like minute tapioca as a filling

Look for a recipe that uses equal amounts of sugar, oats and flour

Cupcake shaped cake! Wilton and other brands sell the pan

I levelled the rounded top off of the base and the top, icing in-between the layers

Chocolate ganache, cooled to room temperature, then whipped. 2 parts chocolate and 1 part whipping cream,.


Large star nib, chocolate ganache.  Just a few sprinkles

I should have put it on a smaller cake plate!
Left over cake, crammed into a spring form pan, then decorated with #123 rose nib!

Greek Salad……after spending 3 weeks in Greece this Spring

Everyone has their own recipe; I use lemon juice, a shake of sugar and splash of olive oil,
I crush dried oregano and basil on top and stir.

I dress my salad 2 hours before serving, add cheese before eating

I reduced the water and still too much, next time I will make 1/2  the cornmeal crust

cook the meat until it is on the dry side

1/2 the amounts for the crust

you boil the cornmeal mixture; it thickens up. Push 1/2 crust into the greased pan

the meat goes over the bottom crust

when spreading anything dot the mixture on then connect the dots

top layer of  crust

Love my counter top convection oven (toaster oven). 45 mins to bake!

free apples...so much wasted due to dark marks, rot etc
