Coconut macaroons!

I googled a recipe that used condensed milk & found this one

I prefer metric measure - took a while to convert the amounts

I measured out the condensed milk, used the left over in coffee!

Should have used the smaller scoop!

I had a carton of liquid egg whites - the conversion is on the carton

Not in the recipe but I always add a dash of acid to strengthen meringue.

I always use sugar to strengthen my meringue !
I added the sugar mixed with cream of tartar slowly, while whipping.
                           Hold the bowl on an angle to maximize the amount around the beater.
Look for stiff peaks before using

Fold in the egg white, flip the spatula to combine ingredients top to bottom.



Too much liquid leaked out for my liking....

Next time I would skip the meringue! Just use a ton of coconut with the condensed milk.  Might have turned out better if I used Eagle Brand condensed milk....
